Yipan
Tea Master
As a third-generation tea practitioner from Fujian Province, China—a region revered as a cradle of Chinese tea culture—Yipan carries forward a family legacy rooted in cultivating and crafting tea. While his grandfather and father devoted their lives to nurturing the land and perfecting the craft, his own path centers on tea evaluation and cultural preservation, bringing tradition into contemporary understanding.
His practice bridges three pillars of Chinese heritage: gongfu tea, calligraphy, and traditional Chinese medicine. These arts are deeply interconnected, each reflecting a shared philosophy of balance, rhythm, and harmony with nature. Tea embodies clarity and patience; calligraphy channels emotion through brush and ink; and traditional Chinese medicine offers insight into seasonal flow and inner well-being.
Guided by this legacy, Yipan curates teas that reflect the depth of tradition and the soul of his homeland. Through his tea room, guests are invited to experience tea not only as a beverage, but as a gateway to culture, stillness, and connection.
